The L1, designed in Berlin and made in Germany, feels like the urban beat of the German capital. It does not scream “Berlin” though. It rather shows its attitude in a minimalistic design, enriched with subtle details: the stylized case opening symbolizes division, but also unification. The crown is shaped like the Weltzeituhr at Alexanderplatz. The fonts are the ones used on Berlin’s road signs. The wristbands, made from vegetable-tanned leather, are constantly changeable. Just like urban life. And fine details in “serenity blue” are an homage to the blue hour - the time, when all the magic happens.
