#2016 Japan Good Design Award Shortlist. The client runs a trading business overseas and appreciates the service motto of the Japanese hotels: "Once in a life time encounter" (Ichi-go ichi-e). She / he wants to apply this "highest level of hospitality" principle to her / his own guest house. The commissioned meeting space project is located near the estuary of the Dansui River where the beautiful "eight sceneries of Danhai" have been known throughout the history. Among them, "the fog blown by Guanyin" and "the sun swallowed by the estuary" are the ultimate sceneries which impress many travelers.
