The new website www.zeitzeugen-portal.de systematically gathers, stores and presents contemporary witness interviews collected by cultural and remembrance institutions funded by the German federal Ministry of Culture and Media. The website has a very clear structure: users have three options of searching for video interviews – by period, theme or person. Portrait photos of individual witnesses are used as key visuals. These give the platform a personal, open and understandable feel. A logo with stylized play button gives the project its own visual identity.
