The 3T Exploro is a carbon-fiber bicycle frame designed to fuse the resilience and security of an off-road machine with the speed and handling of a road racing machine. Key to this is the ability to fit two wheel sizes: 700 c and 650 b. The 700 c road racing wheel size (622 mm) fits lightweight tires of up to 40 mm width, while the 650 b off-road wheel size (584 mm) fits tires of 55 mm width. The larger width gives access to a wide range of tires made for use on rough and loose surfaces. Exploro’s design exploits the fact that the smaller wheel, fitted with a thicker tire, has roughly the same external diameter as the larger wheel fitted with a narrow tire.
