Seoul Design governance is a project where citizens solve public design problems. People of diverse fields, such as students, designers, professionals, and companies form a team to solve public problems proposed by citizens. In particular, we applied the service design methodology (The five stages of problem finding, team building, design, implementation and utilization) to the design stage, so that the needs of citizens can be reflected in the solution as much as possible. Beyond the level of simply gathering citizen’s opinions, we fulfilled true governance whereby the citizens become the mainstay and realized the practical design solution.
