The inspiration for this package comes from a Taiwanese tradition of wrapping string around glass bottles to protect them. The designers placed elaborately folded cardboard at top and bottom in order to avoid damage to the glass, then joined the two ends by the same cord string that is used to wrap the bottle. An intended side-effect is that the product packaging resembles a hot air balloon. This design lets customers clearly see the product without unwrapping it, while minimizing the use of paper at the same time.
