The design for the retail area outside is timber framing racks in the theme of black and white. It reinforces the idea of the museum, but in a subtle way. The design for the inner retreat area is based on wood texture. Visitors may embrace a slow-paced, relaxing lifestyle through appreciating the art pieces, reading books, and enjoying coffee. In this project, FANAF created a circuitous space with clear spatial hierarchy. The retail area outside and the retreat area inside are interconnected. The timber framing structure serves the function of separating these two areas, yet creates a visual connection between them.
