According to WWF, 12.7 million tons of plastic finds its way into the ocean every year, including 36.4 billion drinking straws. Reusable straws are one way to reduce the plastic waste. But there is a major disadvantage of reusable straws: poor hygiene due to difficult cleaning. The dishwasher doesn’t clean the inside well due to the small diameter, so each reusable straws would have to be hand-washed with tiny brushes. SliderStraw is made out of sustainable stainless steel and solves the problem with a clever patented construction. It‘s made out of two parts that can easily be slid into each other. After use, the two parts can be put in the dishwasher.
