Hexonic is a smart tire for autonomous vehicles in the future, and seeks solutions based on changes to road conditions. This concept tire self-charges and self-diagnoses with built-in sensors for myriad road information. On-tread sensors collect road information, and via electric signals, the tread blocks on the modularized tire protrude out to enhance the cornering performance, while forming grooves to ensure its drainage function.
