A local businessman who felt that area bars are relatively old and drab commissioned the Cave to be reminiscent of Paleolithic gatherings, huddling around fire, singing and drinking. Various sized openings including a semi-round door and windows between rooms emphasize the warmth of relationships between people and spaces they inhabit. The design emphasizes exchange, experience and interaction.
