Security is probably one of the most brilliant applications of IoT technology. The MUNIO Smart handle brings simplicity of use to this equation to make a door handle that’s virtually trespasser-proof wherein it uses fingerprint recognition technology along with a surveillance camera to engage/disengage the locking mechanism on the door. However, no matter how sophisticated it looks, it’s still bundled in an exterior that is recognizable and familiar. The door handle has a subtle bump in it that reads your thumbprint. Just rest your thumb on the scanner and turn the handle. If you’re authorized to pass through, an LED ring around the scanner will glow green and the door will unlock, if not, tough luck… and don’t get wise with the MUNIO.
