Magnetosphere is a lamp inspired by the planet on which it exits! Specifically, two fundamental forces: electromagnetism and gravity. Similar to how unattached things on earth can can move freely, the desk lamp embodies the same concept only with magnetism. While it makes a stylish addition to the desk top, its playful functionality also inspires touch and reflection on the invisible force. The base of the lamp is a metallic hollow sphere and the arm consists of a wooden sphere, a pipe and a wooden disk which encloses the light source. At the bottom of the wooden sphere are powerful neodymium magnets so the arm can freely move and rotate on the entire surface of the metallic sphere. The wooden sphere works as an ergonomic handle which the user can grab and manipulate the lamp in whatever way he wants. Designer:
