Buildings are usually viewed as highly utilitarian. Especially ones that aren’t residential. They need to serve a purpose, they don’t need to be fun. However, purpose and fun aren’t opposing scenarios, they CAN coexist. The Tadeo 4909 is a barista with a twist-a (I just had to crack that one, I apologise!). It may look all sleek and professional on the outside, but the moment you step in, you’re greeted with exposed brick walls, kitschy furniture, and hammock-floors. YES, hammock floors! The overall aesthetic is contemporary, with a really well achieved balance between commercial and leisurely. Designer: Javier Flores
