While drones can fly, I’ve realized that they’re quite a nuisance when they aren’t flying. Their complex schematic and aerodynamic shape occupy a lot of space, and they aren’t really easy to carry around (in a car or a bike). The DRNE proposes a solution that looks obvious and possible, but needs some work. The quad-motor drone’s four members fold inwards (propeller and all) to become a selfie-stick of sorts. Obviously the grip isn’t the most ergonomic, but the drone’s footprint gets pushed down by large amount. Essentially, you can now grab/pack the drone as easily as you would a bottle of water. Noice!
