The S-Cradle is a perplexing design that transforms your phone into a reliable security system for 24/7 monitoring. It serves as both a watchdog, charger and Bluetooth speaker for streaming your favorite tunes. The unit itself doesn’t appear to have an integrated camera, so it’s not immediately clear whether or not your phone has to be cradled to monitor with video. Then again, wouldn’t you need your smartphone in-hand to actually monitor what’s going on remotely? While that issue seems to need a bit of tweaking, it’s also equipped with smoke sensors and a motion detector so you can stay alert even without video! Designer: Heewoong Chai
