The intervention of humankind through large scale industries, and housing expansion, increased the consumption of fossil fuels costly energy and created a catastrophic global warming effect with high impact on environment. This single family home address the design of a sustainable dwelling to be built in Jericho, Palestine as a good response to the challenge of the expensive use of electricity generated from fossil fuels in Palestine, inserting a new architectural vision into the ecological balance of a locality. The cumulative effects of developing Green Buildings will create very positive impact on the environment and local economy. This design was conducted in Jericho – Jordan Valley, on a private owned land, based on the local climate data, and recycled building materials. The design applied strategies of Total shading, use of recycled stone, recycled gray water management, Photovoltaic panels and Thermal solar. The design performance obtained positive results, the passive cooling system, and building thermal mass achieved 42% energy savings. The Plants and nature integration was one of main design factors to maintain weather and nature interacted with the dwelling.
