Switzerland has got many beautiful, old traditions. Some are almost forgotten, because no one is practicing them anymore. Others still exist, but we just don’t recognise them. With my label „renewable Swiss traditions“ it’s my task to redesign these old customs and bringing them back into the spotlight. But how? My objective isn’t to reinvent an old tradition. I just apply it to a product we use in our daily lives. An old, but almost forgotten and for some even unknown tradition is, cow riding. I just asked myself: “how can I bring it back into peoples minds?” The basic idea was putting together a classic rocking chair and a cow in a contemporary new design. So I bring it back into the spotlight and even the smallest kid gets into touch with this almost forgotten tradition.
