The components of the big bang can be identified in the ring: the yellow gold and yellow beryls represent the core of the explosion; the top part, consisting of a large central diamond and trapezoid-cut diamonds set in white gold, represents the particles radiating towards the universe, and everything is held by a white gold band. I wanted to place the stones on two different levels to give a sense of the explosion, the outward movement and depth.
