The Coanda is a smart ceiling fan that connects to smartphones and learns users’ preferences, communicates with smart thermostats to find an optimal settings, turns itself on or off depending on location, and regulates intensity and airflow direction. The design is inspired by air pressure amplifiers and internal fans found in laptop computers, and uses electromagnetic motors to propel the fan blades, with built-in LED-powered light fixtures that provide bright illumination at low energy costs.
